Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave, nestled in Belize’s lush jungle, is a captivating blend of adventure and archaeology. Known as the “Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre,” this sacred Mayan site is accessible only by swimming and trekking through a series of chambers. Inside, visitors are treated to a trove of ancient relics, pottery, and skeletal remains, including the famous “Crystal Maiden,” a young girl’s calcified skeleton that sparkles from millennia of mineral deposits.
